According to an article in the New York Times magazine, the United States has 2.3 billion square feet of self-storage space. One in ten Americans has rented storage space.

People have more stuff than can fit in their own home, so they have to rent more space?

We have two storage spaces but only a one bedroom house. Storage space is cheaper than a big house.
